Omah Dhuwur Restaurant offers architectural grandeur and resonates with local history. This place is housed in a sprawing 150 years that blends contemporary Javanese and colonial Dutch design. Omah Dhuwur means “tall house” in Javanese. This restaurant building will be remembering you the times of Ancient Mataram age of 1740 (the lower or Joglo compartment) and colonial year of 1900 (the upper building, art deco house).

The menu offers a smattering of Western dishes but focuses primarily on authentic, Indonesia cooking – oxtail soup, steamed gourami fish and shrimp-fried noodles are amongst the specialities. The restaurant also hosts traditional music performances, batik weaving lessons and pinting workshop.
